We are excited to have an opportunity to join our company as a Team leader. Upton Specialised Tree Services Ltd is a long-established company working on a range of commercial and domestic projects for Local authority, National building developers, MOD, Conservation organisations and the general public. We pride ourselves on our fleet of up-to-date machinery and purpose-built yard both of which make Upton Specialized Tree Services leaders in our field.
Our team leader’s roles and responsibilities include:
- Day to day management of work sites carrying out a variety of arboriculture tasks
- LOLER and PUWER checks
- Carry out site specific Risk assessment
- Mentoring and developing apprentices and second climbers
- Maintaining face to face customer and public relations
- Working to a high standard

Preferred Skills and Experience (training will be provided to the right candidate):
Required
- At least 5-6 years industry experience
- City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-cutting
- City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Felling Small Trees up to 380mm
- City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Using a Chainsaw from a Rope and Harness
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Manually Fed Wood-chipper
- IPAF (Static Boom)
- Full UK driving licence
- First Aid +F
Great to have:
- Team Leader Experience
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Felling and Processing Medium Trees over 380mm and up to 760mm
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Individual Windblown Trees
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Assisted Felling
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Aerial Tree Pruning
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Aerial Tree Rigging
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Use of a Chainsaw from a Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP)
- CSCS card
- NRSWA Signing, Lighting and Guarding
- C1 driving licence
- Trailer towing training
